Welcome to Barcelona, in Renaissance Barcelona Fira

2014-07-03 12.36.56

. . .    . . .   . . .    . . .   . . .

Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel is located in Barcelona’s Plaza Europa Square, next to the Fira Convention managed by the Marriot. Designed by french architect Jean Nouvel and his spanish partner Ribas and Ribas. In my opinion the outside is not really spectacular, but can be understood in the context of the architecture concept  and slogan of the hospitality. The  interior is truly a refuge to city, and completely exceeded my expectations. As Jean Nouvel said “a natural refuge where palm trees and vegetation are transformed into architectural elements integrated into the structure of the building”.

All  the details, the interior design, the internal structure that makes the union of the two towers and the vertical communications, the technology used, all the architecture  details, and also the customer service makes an unforgettable experience.

A vertical Palm Grove, a vertical garden that brought to Barcelona palms from the five continents of the world. The spectacular views from the 27th floor, more than 100 meters hight and the black pool bottom even if is winter season and the temperature is not the most desirable can make this hotel and incredible building open to create new experiences.

The views to Rafael Moneo building are just an amazing confront of architectures. These openings in the shape of a Palm tree give a giant lighting to bedrooms, give a wonderful effect, like a spontaneous hole in the wall. All transparencies, whites, lights and every detail is extremely careful. A wonderful experience to repeat soon.
